My Reality Is a Lie

I feel your warm hands on me
An intense touch cold and lifeless
Your eyes say what should be
Our hearts united in perfect oneness
But the light’s slowly cleared the shadow
And my reality’s a lie so hollow

I’ve heard the sound of your voice
Heard waves crash the dry shore
The will of your command has no choice
And I must therefore follow a paid whore
But the light’s slowly cleared the shadow
And my reality’s a lie so hollow

The silent world shares my loneliness
They quietly nod in understanding too
My solitude rings like a piece of holiness
No one dares to see a fault or two
Yet, the light’s already cleared the shadow
And my reality’s just another lie so hollow.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
