Notes About The Poem

Image result for pictures of an older woman in her quiet place reading bible prayingAn original poem was posted on Lulu.Poetry a long time ago. I rewrote it after finding it in my husband's papers after his death.

My Quiet Place

I need to go to my quiet place I'm longing to be alone with Him today I desire to have my Jesus space Because I want have my say Just a little talk with Him Resting in His agape love There He'll fill my cup to the brim He's my pure white dove In my quiet place My lonely heart can heal Grief can be lifted with His grace Time with Him helps me deal

Sara, Such a heartfelt poem on an important issue. Carrying the weight of loss of those dear to you. Seems natural in finding a quiet place. -Richard

William, when originally written, our grandson who lives with us, was going through some very hard times emotionally for a number of reasons one being is that he found out he has Huntington's Disease. Look up HD and your will see all the problems that manifest themselves just from the disease itself so you will understand better. Anyway, I was having a hard time dealing with that and now my guardian has passed. Sara K

William, my husband never knew that I would find the poem that he copied from Lulu's years back at his death. It is like he had through the Holy Spirit put it up for me. I had to work on it because it wasn't a well written poem because at the time, I did not understand poetry as well as I do now. Thanks for the uplifting comments. Sara K
