My Quiet Place

The nighttime air is warm and dry
As I wander to my favorite spot
Upon the hill, where eagles fly
To my place that time forgot
My quiet place, just nature, serene
The place I need to calm my fears
No better place I have ever seen
I have been coming here for years
I share this place with you all now
Because it’s of me, it is a part
From here, the poems come somehow
As I share with you what’s in my heart
