My Queen
My Queen
My mind was weighed down by ignorance and the fear of the unknown.
I suffered from lack of knowledge and experience; the only
opinion that mattered was my own.
I have learned that that compromise is not as hard as it seems.
You must be willing to put your personal feelings aside
and listen; separate reality from dreams.
I realized that you couldn’t tell how someone feels based solely
on a person’s body language or facial expression.
Their feelings may be hidden, a false first impression.
I used to think that life would be simple if I remained alone,
I only had to deal with only one set of emotions “My Own”.
Now I understand that emotions may be expressed even though
the feelings may not be mutual.
Dealing with change makes a relationship successful.
My pride kept me from acknowledging my own weaknesses;
I was accustomed to dealing with life on my own.
The truth is, I was looking for you, the Queen to my thrown.
