My Purpose
My purpose was to prove them wrong
To prove my friend did not make those calls.
That was not like him to do those things
That made another fear his name.
She was not the only one
At least a dozen he did call.
How could he have me been so bold
To use the phone for his sexual calls.
I set and wonder how he would feel
If someone would do the same to him.
To hide the fact of what he did
He said she did it unto him.
She did not know the man
Who 78 times called her phone.
But I know who made those calls
I sat and watched him at payphones.
A business man, a jeweler in our town
Was the one who made those offensive calls.
