My Ptsd For You
The inference you sing
seems like my own life
so many words that you say
descriptions of my hell
I wish they would Fade away
but like a tattoo on the face,
of an old Staind shirt
It won't leave my mind
Then you Blow Away
all these fears with these tunes
So Please
A little help Right Here
it goes a long way
just like the pain I held inside
No one knows all the things
I been through out there
or all the things that you unknowingly helped me through!
On your hand written pages
are the words of my life
I hear them now
And it takes me back
The Excess Baggage I bring round with me
It's a timeline for me to rewind
This is my PTSD
it's with me everywhere,
I didn't "carry" through my wars
words of history were our tools
It's stacking up hard now
tearing through
this weary soul
Yet It's Been Awhile
since I've been down that road
Now I'll leave this
Torment behind
never beckoning me, I lay them to rest
This Reply to our Reality will make me Suffer no more
Just so you know
I'm not some Wannabe
looking for some Paper Wings
my song's not about that
So Right Here and right now,
I guess there's only one thing
left to say'
And it's this'
