My Promise

Don't whisper in my ear, with the same mouth you use to speak harshly to them Don't caress me gently with the same hands that you use so roughly with them Don't pay me attention, when they are left crying for just a morsel of it Don't even look at me lovingly...I don't want any part of it The sight of you disgusts me the way they seem to disgust you No? I'm wrong? really? Well actions speak louder than you do And all I see is the burden inflicted on you And it leaves me feeling conflicted on what I should do Sometimes I think if I left, you would be able to change Part time status...you would be free from the chains Allow you to miss them until it hurts and you cry for them Wanting nothing but to spend each second of your time with them They cling to me for comfort in a time of confusion Sensing pain in my heart they consume it like fusion Leaving tears on my shoulder makes me bitter cold I lash at you...for I have lost my control I'll leave you for them without a thought of remorse Leave you nothing but loneliness as our souls divorce Don't test me...you'll fail, you'll fail...I promise Don't act like I'm crazy...this is my promise!
