My Preference Or Yours

I prefer satin sheets
Some prefer silk

I prefer ice tea
Some prefer milk

I prefer a truck
Some prefer a car

I prefer forgiving
Some prefer leaving a scar

I prefer cookies
Some prefer pie

I prefer to laugh
Some prefer to cry

I prefer love
Some prefer desire

I prefer to work
Some prefer to retire

Just because our preferences are different
Doesn't mean we can't be friends

The world would be a happier place
If we'd all just make amends
