Notes About The Poem

My poor dolphin - not for contest

"Its not easy being big." The poet.

Such a sad day
I wrote a dolphin poem
Went to put it on display
But I almost fell into a rage
You see no matter how hard I tried
It would not fit on the page
I saved it as Jaypeg
Just so you could all see
how I spent a couple of hours
about dolphins playing happily
The words dont fit
and to fix it would be too much to do
so that is it !

Thanks Mike. Its an "almost good" I was kinda proud and looking forward to showing him off. But he was just too big. He looks great on a word doc page. He fits A4 size perfectly and the poem is easy to read. .lol.. Thanks for your wonderful comment. Best wishes Wen (AKA SV).

Thank you Gina for your sweet consoling words. An Aussie Prime Minister once coined the phrase "Life Wasn't Meant To Be Easy" and it became an Aussie catch cry when things go wrong. It fits my dilemma perfectly. Best wishes Always, Wen

Well it was a good try Las, but next time I will make sure the shapes extremities fit within the confines of the Soup submission area. Thank you for your wonderful comments.

Arr - the dolphins arrived! He is still absolutely amazing sweet one. I love dolphins so much. I love your quote too. I have to say it again, you are SO creative! No way could I do this. I love all the words chosen to form this latest work of art.’ Acrobatic clowns of the sea’ ‘silver grey silhouettes’ ‘ surfing in the crystal sea’. So delightful. The important message of needing to save them is so crucial. Your poem was adorable and made me smile. It shows great patience.

Thanks Chris, I was pleased with him too ! Really guttered when I copied him from word, where I created him and pasted him onto the submission page of Soup. Horizontally he was too wide. To fix him meant drawing a smaller template and creating a whole new poem with many many less words. I started to do that, but my heart was no longer in it. At least a learned a valuable lesson, and it will warn other "shape makers" too. Check the widith of extremities. The soup submission page only allows for a certain width poem. My poor dolphin is too wide from the left hand side of his tale to the right hand side of his snout. Of course you cant change the font size in Soup, so he just doesn't fit. Thanks for the lovely comment. As always its appreciated.
