My Poems Are My Friends

My poems are my favorite friends,
And with their words, I make amends.
I write them down once they are complete,
And then read them later when help I seek.

Without them I’m a total loss,
And my life becomes a total toss.
I keep them nearby in a drawer,
And use them as my memory’s mirror.

what a lovely thought to think of your poems as friends Steven, I think of my poems as my babies and I nurture them from conception each and every poem is very precious:-) hugs jan xx

Some are my babies also. But some of these babies grow up to become my friend.
