My Peace of Mind
My life is Hell until I’m with you
Your pretty face,
the friendly place inside your arms
My saving grace is you
I need you more than words can say
I love you more than poems can tell
You’re the only thing that saves me from my Hell
When you’re gone,
I cannot breathe
When you’re near,
I’m so relieved,
and I can be happy once again
My mind races numb and dull through the week
When you’re away,
I am so weak
You are the strength I need to live
You are the one I need to see
Everything is alright when I’m with you
The sun can shine
The world’s fine
You are one of a kind,
and manage to bring much needed peace to my mind
You give me confidence
You are my providence
The world makes sense when I’m with you
You make me smile,
help me know what it means to live
I give my heart to you
You’re the only one that gets me through life
