My Path

I pray for the angels as they cry
Watching their wings turn black as they fall from the sky
The world around me burns as I walk away
Today is gone from me, today is not my day
Turning away from the flame’s light
I turn to embrace the dark black night
Devils and demons follow with me
I am getting tried of looking, its getting hard to see
I keep walking on the path, I keep walking on
I walk farther into darkness soon I may be gone
From the world I have been sent not to be found
No one shall see me again nor hear my weeping sound
Then out of nowhere like tears of night
A person on my path comes in sight
Ice covers me outside as fire fills within
My mind and heart become things of sin
This person walks to me and casts away my darkness and hate
I know that this is some part of my destiny, my fate
And as I start to smile the sun begins to rise
The devils and demons scream out as their night dies
Then you that person that sent my inner darkness away
You say “Get up, today is here for you, today will be your day”
