My Past

My far past is still near
Thousand mile flights for years
Dedicated my brave life
Piloted in the empty sky

Few flights made me scared
Of the engines that I dared
On top of the cirrus clouds
Where error was not allowed

Focused on dozens gauges
With whole soul engaged
Ready to solve and to fix
Unexpected mechanical trick

Huge challenge in the air
Self-confident and aware
The passenger's eyes agreed
Their lives depended on me

Flew our lives to destination
Served in safe conditions
Until shut down the engines
We all passed a risky scene
