My Pain Is Gone

As time flys by, I watch it go.
All my emotions escaping so fast, and yet, so slow.

I shudder in pain, I cringe at the sound.
Pain helps me know I'm alive,
But does it have to be so profound?

As I begin to cut my wrist,
I see my dreams fly by.
I close my fingers,  I make a fist, and finally realize;
That I have no problem living up high.

When you left me today, you took all I had left to gain;
You took my love, my happiness, but worst of all,
You took my pain....
