My Own Domain
I don't want to rule the world.
I don't want red carpet unfurled.
I just want some love and peace.
And for everyone, it not to cease.
But if I did, I'd rule this way.
I'd make sure you had your say.
That nobody get's left behind.
And the only law, you must be kind.
And let's just say, one time you weren't.
At the stake you wouldn't be burnt.
But rather everyone would learn.
Forgiveness when it came their turn.
It's sure we all have our own dreams.
And hope each one is all it seems.
To win the big one, fall in love.
And have our life fit like a glove.
So when it comes to being King.
My own domain's the only thing.
This hopeful soul would choose to rule.
For to want more, you'd be a fool.
