My Own Battle

Do you enjoy me crying
Why do you laugh at my tears
You have destroyed my wants
And created my fears

I want to get out of here
I want to gain success
But you have trampled me down
And caused me to become this mess

I wish I could tell someone
Of all my pain and hurt
The way you disaprove of me
And treat me like a speck of dirt

But there is no one to tell
No one that can understand
No one to talk to me
And to take me by the hand

Because I have pushed them away
And don't want them back
Because this is my battle to win
And now I am ready to attack

Nice Rhyming poem, talks about a problem, and in the end you found the answer, and the first step to healing. I can relate to this through my daughter and her first husband. Som men are control freeks and buid themselves up by bringing the spouce down. Well said, well read, good message, easy to read and understand the emotion. Judy Riley
