My Only Sunshine

No gray skies cloud a sunflower's rays
...For as long as summertime stays,
Bloom again and you are mine...
Don't you know, dear, you are my sunshine

At dusk, your head hangs with petals drawn
Til your sunshine returns with the coming dawn,
Thereafter, a shower of sweet summer rain
As I lay sleeping, the morning held you, dear, once again

Remember, when October takes you away
You brightened up every balmy day..,
With more than yellow petals and a green vine
Please know, dear, you were my only sunshine.

wow it is such a pleasure as well as a treasure to read a fellow romantic...to see the light still burns...great images designed to make the heartstrings vibrate into the greatest gift of them all...Love...to know the sunflower follows the sun in every moment of the day and at night returns to face the dawn...great images herein
