My Only Dream
I carry one wish in my heart and mind
And it is that you were still alive
I love you too much for you to be gone
I find myself wishing all night until dawn
That I could still see you alive today
That's the one thing I constantly pray
I love you too much for you to be dead
Your face and your moves swirl around in my head
I cannot forget you or let you go
You were the god of my world majestic, aglow
Why is it when people die they never come back
Why does this obsession constantly nag
Please forgive me that I cannot move on
But with your death I was completely undone
In my heart and my mind you did not die
And I go on telling myself these lies
My one dream is that you were still alive
It's the only dream I've had since the day you died
