My One True Love
I want to wish you, Happy Birthday.
But, it's really quite a chore!
In the past, it was real easy,
but, it isn't anymore!
All those years we spent together,
were a treasure, to behold!
The joy of being with you,
made it easy growing old!
We shared so many happy times,
and had some tough times too!
Whenever, I had doubts or fears,
I could always count on you!
You were my rock and fortress!
My strength, when I was weak!
Knowing you were always there,
whenever times were bleak!
All that's in the past now,
but, let me make it clear!
You'll always be my one true love,
though you're no longer here!
True love leaves a memory,
that no one else can steal!
Death, leaves a heartache,
that no one else can heal!
So, Happy Birthday, sweetheart,
as you look down from above.
Although my heart is aching,
I send you all my love!
