My Old House

My floors are slanted And tables are tipping The back porch sags My bathtub is dripping A chimney needs pointing Wood stairs are creaking My windows are drafty The old roof is leaking The toilet is running My furnace is rusted A basement that floods The doorbell is busted Small narrow closets What were they made for? But despite my complaints Its finally paid for.

I once saw a bumper sticker which said, "Don't laugh; it's paid for. Enjoyed reading this Kitty.

This is such a delightful poem Kitty! I can certainly identify with a few of the things on your list. Our house is finally paid for too. What a relief and joy it was to pay it off. This poem left me smiling. Thank you for that! : )
