My Often Read Book

Every chapter I’ve read tells a different tale
Some are vibrant and bright, some are ashen and pale,
For the book has a cover transparently made
And its story rolls on, though its meaning may fade
Just like shadows at sunset, and moon painted eyes
There’s a bookmark consisting of subtle surprise
With such ghostly reflection the manuscript glows
On the surface it shines, though the river still flows.

Every page has a bookmark of all that has been
Every subtle sensation and wonderful scene,
Like larks in the firmament, fish in the sea
The natural world is so boundless and free,
Sunrises so wonderful, and sunsets are too
Birds are like jewels set in skies of deep blue,
If we walked through forever and back home again
There’d be too much to ponder on, or to explain.

Though sometimes the darkness rules over the day
There seems always a dawn that will chase it away,
And always the sunshine’s gold amulets shine
With diamond set rainbows they softly combine,
For on every grey page there is silver and shade
Combining life’s promises as they are displayed,
And the last pages are truly best ones to read
For their songs are the music and love is the seed…

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
