You have been such a source of strength to me this past year
One who has been there and understands with every tear
Although we were very different in how we were brought up
We now relate to each other so much as grown ups
We've been through our journeys of physical and emotional pain
And how much we understand each other has been one of life's greatest gains
But it's not just understanding each other that counts
It's how you make me feel heard and loved that I wish to announce
Not many people listen and understand the way that you do
Even with my all my details, you've made what I share feel important to you
Friendships like ours don't come around each and every day
Sometimes not even in a lifetime, many people will often say
So today I want to say how much your friendship means in my life
You're My Nearest and Dearest Friend whose value cannot be priced!
