My Muse

A day of beauty -rainbows on the sky;
the oceans’ and the mountains’ majesties;
bold colors when day’s light begins to die -
my muse delights in wonders such as these.

Emotions – mostly happy ones – not sad;
imaginings that make my spirit dance;
a time recalled because I felt so glad;
nostalgia of a beautiful romance.

A story that is begging to be told
poetically! I feel the need to try
to put down words and also turn to gold
most precious moments that have made me sigh.

I rarely write from sorrow or from strife.
My muse is most enthused by love of life!

Beautiful sonnet embracing "the love of life" Andrea! I am in agreement with you about finding gratitude for our life, even when darkness seems to overshadow joy - after all, "Joy comes with the morning!" Best of luck in the contest, my friend!

"love of life" is what comes across in your muse's pen, so this makes sense.
