My Muse

I write to express
my feelings, emotions
through words

If my words speak
fluently for themselves 
they dance in joy

I write to unravel
the unseen from seen
from my perspective

I write to find
my own self, from within
to understand my limits

I write to amuse others
by thoughts that amused me
to share myself a little

I write to fight a cause
of justice, equality, freedom
for those denied of them

I write to enjoy
the wit and humour
of words and their puns

I write to create
a simple chain of thought
easily understood

I write to utilise time
for my own pleasure 
for liberation it entails

I write to honor 
the written word
it has helped me learn

I write to praise
the lord for gifting me
wisdom to perceive
