My Mother

In her womb I was conceived
Love and care I have received
Shared some air for me to breath
Protection in her beneath

Waited for me with her might
Praying for me day and night
To come out well and complete
Brace herself for tests to beat

When she has given me birth
She was joyful on all earth
She gave me a special name
She felt she was getting fame

I cannot thank her enough
Knowing what she’s done is tough
But I love her very much
Wish she’s here for me to touch
