.. Ah!!.. Kids are ruthless! .. I remember being new to a school at age 10. Role was called, at that school everyone would say, "Present!" when their name was said. I was used to "Here." When I said, "Present," found out later, it was taken as sounding posh or snobby, and everyone put me in that category, didn't talk to me for weeks.
