My Most Remembered Place I Never Was

Odd, I think,
This so-called "deja' vu"
Why is this so familiar?
I bet this has also
happened to you,

It's eerie, it's disconcerting,
It makes you think too hard,
No way you can make
heads or tails,
Of this this feeling,
that makes you feel like a retard

This place I've never been to,
I seem to remember far too well,
Not quite a pleasant feeling,
It feels like I'm half-way to hell

Did I somehow earn this horror?
Or did God just make a mistake?
Or maybe he lost the devil's bet,
My soul the gambler's stake

I'm starting to perspire,
I know it will soon enough be worse,
God's gambling debt, it seems
Was worthy of my soul's curse,,,

Abandoned amongst flaming fires,
Of pain and endless grief,
Not until the apocalypse comes,
will I be able to beseech,
An exit to this place,
and to my great relief.

So sit in flames I must,
Unless an angel I can trust,
To get me out of here,
Before I burn to dust...
