My Morning

My morning

02/05/2018

I start the day in my usual way,
With a big yawn, a little after dawn.
Coffee I make and give the heart a shake,
And I’m off now, walking briskly and how!!
Back home and shower, some water for the flower
I picked for my sweet as I cute morning treat.
Driving into town, my face a crumpled frown,
Roads full of traffic, radios incessant static.
Fighting for a parking space, frown firmly in place,
Ok take a breath, useless stress equals early death.
Busy street, walking, stalking, watching,
gawking,
Eyes all around, I find a wallet on the ground.
I look and search, for someone in the lurch ?
But no one I see looks quite as stuck as me.
Until I see this bloke looking like he’s gonna choke,
Face red, hair a mess, clearly searching feeling stress.
Hey mate look what I found. Where? There. On the ground.
Both our features smile, it’s great to feel worthwhile.
What a fantastic way to start an awesome day.
