My Monsters

The scars I bare must be hidden
never shall I let them show
The scars that mark my heart and soul
the place the monsters grow

their claws are daggers buried deep
their words I hold inside
saying that I'm not good enough
it would be better if I died

Each day a battle against the beasts
 The monsters seek to rule
each day I wear a sword and shield
against their words so cruel

a never ending battle
deep within my heart
I cannot defeat them on my own
I don't know where to start
