My Monsters

PS friends, remembering a lost love one. After fifty years I still feel the pain of the loss. If you are hurting, talk to someone. Someone cares, they can help.

My monsters are real
They are in my head
Forcing what I feel
Urging me to be dead

No one can see
The darkness and fears
Inside of me
I've been running for years

I've come undone
All out of time
No matter how hard I run
From these monsters of mine

Left this world behind
No one could save me
From those monsters of mine
At last I am free

Hello Timothy … the mind is such a powerful thing and if depression sets in, can put you in a place where there appears no way out, but as you wrote there is help. Pretty powerful and factual - thank you Timothy - Lindsay

Those monsters are more real than external reality. Perception is all. So cruel their destruction. Wonderfully penned, Timothy. Thanks, Gershon

That's a good poem. Yes, monsters are real. We can not escape from it. Wish we had magical power. We would simply obliviate our memories. Beautifully written.
