My Mom My Friend My Inner Strength
My mom my friend my inner strength
From the day you made the choice
To bring me up with such an inner voice
That makes it possible for us to rejoice
In my ability to have such poise
With so much direction and meaning
That allows my loving affection to shine through
You are my mom my friend my inner strength
That allows me to follow my hearts voice
Giving me the strength to live my distinct life
To deal with anything that may go come my way
Every day with you in it carries me away
Remembering how you taught me how to pray
Knowing God has helped me sway the devil's play
All those things that stowaway
Covering up all my wonderful memories of my yesterdays
To my delight, my life has taken flight
Because you made my world so sunny and bright
Giving me the incite to know wrong from right
You brought me upright
You taught me how to stand up and fight
For all the things that ignite
The passion you instilled in me
My soul which reflects right back to you
My mom my friend and my inner strength
Who is always going to be my mom
That makes me happy to just be me
