My Mind's Eye

As I scramble through the fog
My own life drips away
All I’m s’posed to do is log
‘ Activities of the day’.

Too joyful for this world
Too clever by half
Too sane to be called sane
You’re having a laugh? HA HA

I really loved my passion -
The me that once was me
My fire, my strength my guiding light
Please let me be FREE

Free from the stigma
I did not deserve
So freedom from torture
My Country to serve.

AMEN
