My Man So True

O' my love, I know that you are true. As true as the sun that shines on your caramel hue. And the day spent with you is adequate with delight. And is consistent under the splendid night. I grieve only of the moments that rushes by so quickly. I hunger for the moments to come, although to briskly, for they are the moments when I only hear the sweet melody of a song, for they are the moments that I sincerely know where I belong. O' my love, I know that you are true. As true as the blue sky. As true as the birds that fly. As true as the sun-kissed daffodils. As true as the rain that hits against my window sills. As true as the spring breeze that lovingly stirs the plump foliage and lifts the hem of my skirt. As true as God's green earth. O' my love, I will be true to only you. For I love you even with your swollen waist and kinky curls of gray. For I love you even though your steps are frail along the way. For my love is true, if you falter in remembering. I will be there to point out everything. O' my love so true, when our ending hours are near, do not give in to the fear. I will be here beside you, my love, my love, my love so true. copyright 2017 Looking At The Light From The Bottom of The Lake.
