My Lullaby For You

Some starry night I’ll have a crack At humming a lullaby for you. But first I’ll try to find a track To your soul not to make it blue. Then let me know you are ready. You’ll lay your head on my breast, And I’ll try to remain steady Though you’ll be kissing the warm nest... And I’ll begin singing the silent song. It will be meant only for your heart. Everything I’ll sing won’t be wrong. I’ll play it by ear – something smart... You’ll come to like my murmuring. I’ll give you its words without any fight. But let me tonight sing, quietly sing. Let me care about your dreams this night...
