My Loving Heavenly Father
My loving heavenly father gracious and merciful
thanks for protection rest and sleep
I come and bow before you now
as you love me as one of your sheep
Give me strength and grace for today
to walk with you privileged beyond degree
help me to be in step along your way
open my eyes Lord show me to see
Thank you, Lord, for living in me
for your holy spirit being my guide
show me your will for this life
so I know that in you I constantly abide
Praise your holy name for your presence
keeping me looking ahead no matter what
despite the ills and struggles of life
being thankful for your purpose to be taught
Keep me on your upward path
being faithful to the finish no matter when
thank you, father, for saving me
eternity bound forever glory amen!
