Innocence surrounds you in life,
yet you're as sharp as any knife.
And you have a magic effect,
polishing dreams dimmed by neglect.
Upon breaching my inner walls,
your compassion cushions my falls.
And restores my hopes and lost pride,
putting confidence in my stride.
Your smile melts sadness from within,
allowing my smile to begin.
And your faith in me gets me through;
without your love, what would I do?
You're forgiving, patient, and kind,
virtues that aren't easy to find.
And this extraordinary blend
makes you my lover and best friend.
