There was a time when you were more - than just a lover
There was a time when you were much more - than just a friend
I knew from the beginning I’d love you forever
And I see now it’s true that we’ve reached our end
You were far more than a ray of sunshine - that came and brightened my cloudy day
Though I’ll miss you always forever
I’m so grateful we had our golden yesterday
When I think of magic moments we shared together
I am filled with a peaceful joy and burning sorrow
While tonight I’m swimming in warm memories
I’ll be walking hand in hand with my blues tomorrow
I hear rumors that you are leaving - that you’ve decided to go start again somewhere new
Just know wherever you go my heart will follow
Because I’ll always be in love with you - It’s true
