My Love Wasn'T Good Enough

There is nothing I can do
All my thoughts return to you
Never letting me forget
The unexpected way you left
Leaving me an empty place
I just keep seeing your face
And the last look that I saw
Before you walked out the door
My eyes filling with sad tears
Thinking how true and sincere
My love was to you always
Now the nights turn into days
As I wake up in a bed
Alone, where you should be instead
Of somewhere in this world
Holding a new lover girl
That took my place, I'm not sure why
You wanted my heart to die
And stop beating our love song
Wishing I knew what went wrong
Causing you to run and flee
Breaking my world instantly
Shattering the dreams I planned
There's no way to understand
What possessed your heart to find
Someone's love that isn't mine

Wow so much emotion and pain being conveyed here Robin. I have several compositions on this same pain so I know what you are dealing with. Time will ease the pain but the feelings never go away you had for that special one. Your soup friend Michael
