My Love I Will See Tonight
My Love I Will See Tonight
By Rick Rucker
I will see my Love tonight,
When, from her carriage, she will alight,
A Princess, she is dating below her station,
She could have any in the nation.
How I find myself so lucky,
I won’t question, I find it ducky!
That I am a common man,
You can see, as any can,
Still, she makes me feel a King,
For me, she will do anything.
Even with her royalty,
She has sworn her loyalty.
A Royal Wedding is likely out,
After all, I have no clout.
So we will have to meet
At a secret place discreet
Lest the others’ tongues would wag,
And that would be such a drag,
Why would I do this, you might ask?
Nothing would be too great a task,
Just to see her, all alone,
Makes me feel I’m on The Throne!
