My Love For My Wife
Every time I close my eyes her face is all I see.
The one I fell in love with sparks my memory.
Her eyes how they glimmered her smile was wide and bright.
That's the look I remember that made me warm inside.
Her lips were soft and tender her heart was warm and sweet.
In her arms I felt safety that the world could not defeat.
And so I asked this woman to be my loving wife.
Her and our three kids completed my whole life.
Then one day they're gone and I lost my will to live.
To hug them one more time there's nothing I won't give.
With hope I carry on though I pray for death.
To tell them all I love them I'd give my last breath.
