My Love
Driving on a lonely road slowly going no where.
Thinking about all the good times that we use to share.
Listening to all our favorite songs on the radio.
I still can’t believe that u were the first to go.
Feeling all alone as I continued to drive on
An empty feeling inside which still hasn’t gone.
I long for your touch, your hugs and passionate kisses.
All these things are my everyday ‘misses’.
Who do I tell about how much I yearn for you?
Who do I tell about your love, so true?
Who do I tell about the songs we use to play?
The first person I called on a bad hair day.
Who do I turn to now that you’re no longer here?
When I wanna talk I feel they just wanna disappear.
Who do I call when I can’t get to sleep?
All I can do now is lay silently and just weep.
Going thru the messages that you use to send
It cheers me up though I still have to pretend.
I keep hearing your voice inside of my head.
“I Love you” the last words when going to bed.
Looking at your picture always brings a smile.
You made me feel that life was so worthwhile.
Now, I feel lost - alone and losing faith
Cruelly locked out from happiness’s gate.
Getting out my car, I fall to the ground
I can’t take it anymore, I can’t go on.
I looked up and saw the blue sky above
I closed my eyes and prayed to you, My Love.
I felt a gentle breeze kiss me on my cheek
I felt a renewed strength and didn’t feel weak.
I smiled as I realized You’re still here by my side.
And even thou I cant see You, You will always be here to guide.
