My Love

Tears flow down her beautiful face
Strange town in a different place
She left behind all that she knew
If only she knew...that I wasn't true
I told her all the things a woman wants to hear
I never actually realized that she would hold them so dear
What I could take back is now forever lost
The damage, hah, for which there can't be a cost
Do I care for her? I tell myself yes
Yet while she has hope, I have regret
One day we will meet again, and then she'll know the truth
When I said I love you/ It was always for you
