My Love
From strangers once on separate roads,
With different dreams and different loads,
Who would have thought that fate would weave,
A bond so strong I'd never leave.
I still can hear that voice so sweet,
The way you'd call, "Joooyeeee," complete,
In that childish tone, so full of light,
A simple sound that felt so right.
We never had a perfect start,
But somehow you became my heart.
Through little trips and moments few,
My favorite memories all include you.
I watched you love our Baloo dear,
With patience, warmth, and endless care.
And when he left, through tears and pain,
You opened your heart to Maggie again.
You fought with me, and yes, my mom,
At times our house wasn't always calm.
But let someone else say one thing wrong,
And you'd defend us fierce and strong.
I still remember with pride and grace,
When someone insulted my mother's place.
You stood your ground without a fear,
Showing your loyalty crystal clear.
When life collapsed beneath my feet,
And every day felt like defeat,
When I lost my job, my hope, my way,
You never once chose to walk away.
I made mistakes, I hid the truth,
For far too long in my foolish youth.
Yet through the storms that I had made,
Beside me still, your shadow stayed.
When darkness whispered, "You are done,"
You became my moon, my stars, my sun.
When I had nothing left to give,
You gave me reasons still to live.
Today you carry more than your share,
Raising Moksha with endless care.
Day after day, without complaint,
With strength that makes the strongest faint.
You're strict with money, strict with me,
And rarely grant me gaming glee.
Yet deep inside I understand,
It's love that guides your careful hand.
For Maggie, Moksha, and this home,
You guard the life that we have grown.
Every sacrifice, every choice you make,
Is for the family you help create.
And though the words are seldom said,
They echo softly inside my head.
I hope one day you'll look my way,
And tell me that you love me someday.
Sushmita, through every passing year,
You've been my courage, calm, and cheer.
Through every loss, through every fight,
You've somehow helped me find the light.
Until that moment, I'll remain,
Through every sunshine, every rain.
For after all we've journeyed through,
I simply cannot live without you.
From strangers once, by fate's design,
Sushmita, forever I'm grateful you're mine.
You are the chapter I never outgrew,
My home, my heart, my forever "you."
