My Loss Your Gain
My loss your gain
Remember when we’d kiss and our hearts felt the same
The countless nights entwined in an unbroken daisy chain
It still feels like I was in love with you every time we met again
The passionate embraces made together a burning flame
I loved you forever like a sun needing clouds to give you rain
But then my loss was your gain etched forever in my brain
Do you ever think of me when it’s cold outside and you’re looking through your window pane?
I wonder if when we met the Gods laughed and decided to teach us the price of a loving game
Two strangers met and two strangers it became as my loss of course was your gain.
