My Little Sis

When I played sheriff in a desert town, I would ride out at sunup on the chase. My little sis would watch me with a frown - She always saw the worry in my face For she knew that death had entered the race. When I returned she would swing on the gate, Give me a broad smile and a tender kiss. "Did you get 'em, Roy? Send 'em to their fate?" Now she is gone and Lord knows that I miss "Did you get 'em Roy?" from my little sis. 7/13/2017 For contest English Quintain for Janice Canerdy
