MY LITTLE GIRL FOLLOWS ME

Does anyone know who wrote this poem?
MY LITTLE GIRL FOLLOWS ME

A careful mother I must be,
a little girl follows me.
I would not dare go astray
for fear she’ll go the the self-same way.

I cannot once escape her eyes,
what’er she sees me do, she tries.
Like me, she says she’s going to be.
My little girl who follows me.
