My Little Corner

My little corner is a welcoming plot where I sit and ponder and dream a lot. As the fruits of my toil flourish in soil, I take pride in the array of heliotrope. In the moment of a wonderful min, I hear the voices of my beloved kin. And though they have long left this mortal place, their footsteps I most longingly trace. On the stepping stones of eternal flora, of song and laughter and harmonious mora. With an echo of my undying love, I adorn her. My nostalgic little corner.

Jennie, this is delightful and well penned. I happened to read this moments ago while in my own quiet garden and was captivated. Heliotropes are a bit tender here in Western Maryland, but beautiful. Best to you. ~Eric

Eric, thank you for your lovely comment. I am so glad that you enjoyed my little poem which I actually wrote about my parents' garden in the Netherlands. Greetings from sunny Yorkshire, England :-) - JC

Well said! I often take comfort from dreams where I hear the Welsh lilt of my late wife! Aloha! Rico
