My Light

Fear flashed through her eyes.
She silently cries.
She doesn't want to be alone.
But no one is around.

She's left by herself.
Darkness an pain, no one else.
Her tears streak down her face,
As she stands in that lonely place.

Deadly whispers flood from the shadows.
She wonders if she will see tomorrow.
Giving up seems like the only option.
To let her soul dissapear into nothing.

She sees a light,
The one person who stood by her side.
He came to save her from pain.
He whispers 'it'll be okay.

She couldn't believe that she didn't see,
That all along it was him she needed.
She held him tight,
And said thank you for being here, you saved my life.
