My Light

My light 17/07/2018 Liam my son, you are my star and shining light, The best thing by far, I’ve ever had in my life. It’s because of you, I strive each painful day, No longer determined to drink my life away. You are my son, my best ever friend, I thank you mate for helping my heart mend. Your inner reserves of strength are untold, You’ll realise this as you slowly grow old. You can do anything, Be anything, Make of yourself anything, So take on the world and try to see everything. Please be the best man you can possibly be, Don’t repeat all the selfish mistakes made by me. Dream big, dream large, dream high as the sky, Allow yourself to fail just as long as you tried. Success isn’t measured by money or by cars, But by happiness inside and reaching for the stars.
