My Life Without You

O but what
in the world would I do
If I had naught
but my memories of you
With ease could I watch
as the world rolled on by
And left me alone
with these tears in my eyes
If empty and bare
did the world turn to me
Then longing for you
all the more would I be
And what if the world
saw my grief and despair
All my nights spent in dreams
alone with you there
Might then the world know
what your love meant to me
 If my life without you
they plainly could see
